#hardcover2024 is coming
Welcome to #hardcover2024, a new chapter in the journey that started in 2019 with the first volume and ended with the third volume in 2021. Since then a lot has happened and aside from the small issue of a full-blown pandemic, everyone had their ups and downs, and working on an erotic publication hasn't really been the top priority of anyone.
That being said, we are happy to return to a publication that meant so much to so many, has meant the start of a career to some and to others trying out a different direction in their art journey, and of course, pissed up so many Christians (the messages were delicious).
In the spirit of fighting censorship of the nipple on social media, we will again gather over 100 artists and collect a plethora of erotic art. With #hardcover2024 it will be the same as with #hardcover3, and we include artistic nudity together with (bluntly put) full-blown pornography.
What is different this time is that we are including a topic: role-play. Your work must reflect that topic in some way, being either pen and paper (like Dungeons & Dragons), "sex stuff" meaning role play as in nurses, or whatever you want to make of it (we are obviously not including ageplay). We keep the topic pretty generalized on purpose as we want to give you all some wiggle room. For any unclarity or questions, feel free to reach out through Discord (link below at "Other Info") and we will gladly help and also do early reviews of your piece if you feel unsure.

#hardcover is…
…a compilation of explicit sexual art that takes a stand against the aggressive rejection of any nude artwork (and specifically the female nipples) on social media. This has influenced creators to the extent that many artists now avoid working with nudity altogether. Posted uncensored, their work has led to blocked profiles, deleted images, and platform bans, creating a stigma around the subject that artists are now cautioned to avoid. We are publishing erotic artwork created by established professionals who believe in the freedom to explore our sexuality and humanity through art. With artists like Kim Jung Gi, Sara Pichelli, Bastien Lecouffe Deharme, Daniela Uhlig, Belén Ortega, Even Mehl Amundsen, Gerald Parel, Pauline Voß, Peter Han, Abigail Larson, Serge Birault and many many more, these books want to make a difference.

Milestones
The first edition of #hardcover was a huge success on Kickstarter by reaching almost 150.000 Euros ($166.000). Over 120 artists contributed art on over 160 pages in a high-quality book made for collectors and artbook-lovers. #hardcover2 was successfully funded in May 2020 with 212,000 Euros! #hardcover3 was funded in only 7 minutes on the 5th of May 2021 with almost 160.000 Euros. #hardcover2024 is in the works and will also be crowdfunded through KS.
